Columbia River Connection Tours
& Talks
These are 2 to 5 day car caravan tours and can be extended to see more of the sites along the trails and routes. Many historic sites will be seen and discussed, along with the local history of the area, the geology and formation of the country, the river connections and Indian history and lore. Tours can be tailored to your needs. Prices depend on the individual tour we arrange together with you. We can also step on to your pre-arranged bus tour. Tour instructor for Elderhostel In addition to road tours, we can come to your association meeting or school with talks about the trails and history of the Pacific Northwest. Subjects covered are Lewis and Clark, Hudson's Bay Company, formation of Oregon Provisional Government, influence of missionaries on early Oregon, the Oregon Trail, mountain man stories and tall tales. You can have a straight historical talk or have one of history's great characters visit you in person.
