Today we
saw several Lewis and Clark Campsites and lunch stops. We were going reverse
on their return trip, so we had to think backwards. The Three Forks of the
Missouri had thrilled us a few days ago, now we saw another Three Forks -
three Indian trails coming together, which L&C used on May 3, 1806. Our
flag-bearer today is Alice Wilcox. The
Bird Book has also been updated. |
Here's more
of our gang at the three forks. And below is a picture of the Indian Fishery at Celilo on the Columbia River. This was the major blockage to river travel for L&C and other travelers. |
