Today was a big day. I went to the western end of the Forth & Clyde and also the western end of the Antonine Wall.

These are the remains of a roman bathhouse in Bearsden, right outside of Glasgow.

In the New Kilpatrick cemetery right up the road are some fine examples of the stone base for the turf wall which was built atop the ditch. But there is a mystery here. The signs are reversed and I found another website in which they are correct.

The final fort on the Antonine Wall is underneath a building with several warehouse. Apparently it was built before serious digs in the area.
