Today I visited Callendar House, the great intepretive center and research library of Falkirk. I met with Geoff Bailey, who helped me find a couple of sites I had missed.

The Antonine Wall runs right through this marvelous estate, as seen below. and me walking the wall to the right.

Inside is a great, huge kitchen. There is a fan in the chimney, turned by the rising heat. The fan, in turn, through gears and chains, turns the roasting spit. There are plenty of pictures, also.

These gentlemen, dressed as Roman soldiers, belong to The Antonine Guard, a prominent reenactment guild. They are taking pictures of them at Callendar House to support the Antonine Wall becoming a World Heritage Site.
